Not a girl, but I know how excited you ladies get when a dress has pockets. Well....this does and they're awesome. According to my wife, the fabric is a little heavier than expected, but still lightweight enough to wear around a tropical resort during the day or night. It includes a built-in slip, so you can feel a little more "free" since it's not see-through. My wife loved it and can't wait to go back to the Dominican so she can wear it again...or maybe she liked the weather. Either way, it's a great dress and comes highly recommended.
This is a great summer dress, very lightweight and while I don't think the fabric is exactly breathable, it's so light and the skirt is so flowy that I don't think it will trap in heat the way some other long dresses can do.The dress itself is loose, which adds to the comfort and makes it more flattering for when you tie the rope around the waist. You also tie the one shoulder yourself, which allows you to determine how high the neckline rests, which I think adds more flexibility for fitting different chest sizes properly.The dress is very wrinkly right out of the package, but steaming or ironing it will take care of that in a pinch. Hanging it up will not be enough, this fabric does hold wrinkles (something to keep in mind when doing laundry).The pockets are in a good spot to comfortably rest your hands in there, and the roominess of the skirt means you can actually put things in the pockets and it won't be an obvious bulge from your pocket(s). They're big enough that I was able to fit my entire cell phone in there without a problem and I wasn't worried it would fall out while I walked. It did flail around and keep bumping into my hip while I walked though, which got a little annoying after a while but not something so terrible I'd wish the pockets weren't there
